Matla is a companion for a Muslim's daily worship: a Ramadan fasting countdown for suhoor and iftar, prayer times with reliable reminders, a Qibla compass and an offline Quran. Everything is calculated on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers.

Reporting a problem
Please include as much of this as you can — it usually turns a week of guessing into a same-day fix:
- Device model and OS version
- Your location or selected city, and the calculation method shown in Settings
- What you expected versus what happened
- Steps to reproduce
- Roughly when it happened, so it can be matched to your reminder schedule
Common questions
Why do my prayer times differ from my mosque?
Prayer times are calculated from your location using the authority you select in Settings. Mosques often apply their own precaution minutes or a different convention for Fajr and Isha. Matla shows the active method on screen so you can compare, and per-prayer offsets let you match your local timetable.
Why is the Ramadan start date marked as estimated?
The Hijri calendar in Matla follows the calculated Umm al-Qura calendar. Many communities begin Ramadan on a confirmed moon sighting, which can differ by a day. Matla asks you to confirm the announced date for your region and lets you adjust the Hijri date by a day either way.
Does the fast start at imsak or at Fajr?
The fast begins at Fajr. Some communities stop eating a few minutes earlier as a precaution; Matla can show that imsak line if you turn it on, and labels it as precautionary.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. There is no sign-up and no login, and every feature in version 1 works offline.
Reminders are late or missing on Android.
Some Android phones stop apps from scheduling exact alarms to save battery. Matla includes a reminder self-test and step-by-step guidance for your phone brand in Settings. Allowing exact alarms and turning off battery optimisation for Matla fixes most cases.
Where is my data stored?
On your device only. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to your device's own backup and restore settings.
Which platforms are supported?
iPhone and Android. iOS additionally supports Live Activities on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
Privacy and data requests
Matla keeps everything on your device. Your location never leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers.
Because nothing leaves your device, there is no account to close and no server-side data for us to export or delete. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device. Full detail is in the Matla privacy policy.
