- Phone model and OS version
- TV manufacturer, model and firmware version if you can find it
- Whether the TV was discovered, and whether pairing completed
- Which button or function failed

Common questions
Is this available yet?
Not yet. Universal Remote is early in development and has not been released to either store.
Why can't the app find my TV?
Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network, and the TV must have network control enabled. Some manufacturers now disable it by default.
Why are some buttons unavailable?
Because that television does not expose that function to third-party apps. The app shows what is genuinely available rather than pretending.
Does it work over Bluetooth or infrared?
No. Control is over Wi-Fi, which is what the supported platforms expose to third-party apps.
Which TVs are supported?
Adapters for Google TV / Android TV, Samsung, LG and Vizio are in progress. The supported list will be published before release.
Privacy and data requests
Universal Remote collects no data. It talks to your TV over your own network and to nothing else.
Because nothing leaves your device, there is no account to close and no server-side data for us to export or delete. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device. Full detail is in the Universal Remote privacy policy.
